One of the most hotly anticipated game/movies of 2009 Wolverine Origins is the best movie games I have played since revenge of the sith on PS2.

I don’t want to spoil to much of the story as the game takes place before and during the movie revealing the past of Logan what happened to him and how he became the killing machine he is now.  In this story he has lost many memories of his past like who killed his partner and what he did before then. During the game there a playable flashbacks  which revel what happened in his past which I won’t go into as I don’t want to spoil the story. But the story in the game is great with Hugh Jackman giving his likeness and voice over to the game gives it the more authentic feel, with other talent as voice overs from Black Eyed Peas front man Will.I.Am as John Wrath and Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed/Sabretooth . all three give excellent performances in their roles and deserve all credit for it.

The gameplay in this game is the best bit. If you enjoyed God of War’s gameplay your going to love Wolverine as it feels very much like GOW. Through the game you acquire moves like Claw Cyclone and Claw Drill making the combo stings as HUGE and gory as a Friday night in with Jigsaw, Although the game is multiplatform the game looks and play better on next gen machines. The only major downside to the gameplay is that when you do the flashback sections you have all the moves and stuff you have acquired through the game when it would make it more challenging.

The sound in this game is nothing to write about the music not exactly the best in game music but it is ok in fights and stuff. Like I said before the voice acting is great.

The graphics are powered by the popular unreal engine used in games like unreal tournament and rise of the Argonauts. The blood spatter is awesome and the way he regenerates is real time and looks astonishing and real. The lighting and the scenery are breathtaking at times but there are times when the graphics have to load sometimes but that are what comes with next gen.

Overall  this game fills the gaps in the film story as most movie games do and it makes the story more awesome weather you have seen the film or not. Although the game does fill the void God of War has left for the time being it is not the next one but it is a close second. The game also has great replay value will all the trophies and bonus content it makes for good fun.

I’ am going to give this game 8/10 for everything as it is such a good game not 10/10 material needs one or two tweaks for that but never the less it is an awesome game well worth the 39.99 price tag.
